“All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty.” Proverbs 14:23
Thanks to our supporters, Talanton has invested in yet another job creating, high-growth company!
After conducting extensive due diligence and getting to know the leadership team, we have invested in Moko Home + Living, a mattress and home furnishing manufacturer and retailer in Kenya serving the rising African market with quality, affordable furniture at scale.
Moko currently employs 230 workers with plans to expand outside of Nairobi into East Africa and beyond. Each month, approximately 1,200 families buy products from Moko.
The company’s B2B business distributes materials and finances the supply chain to 200 micro enterprises across Kenya, indirectly serving many of the 130,000 people employed in Kenya’s informal furniture sector.
Their B2C business focuses on completing the value chain to low-income consumers. Home furnishings are typically their retail customers’ most valuable assets, reflecting the importance of Moko’s products in day-to-day quality of life.
