New Uganda Relationship - Rabboni

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to

serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”

1 Peter 4:10

We are delighted to share more good news. Thanks to Talanton’s supporters, we have invested in another high-impact, high-growth company – this time in Uganda. We finalized the investment agreements with this maize sourcing, milling and distribution business after conducting extensive due diligence and time spent getting to know the leadership team. Read on to learn more about this new investment.

While Covid has impacted all of us, we are grateful that with your support and God’s grace, we are steadily moving ahead with a strong portfolio of new investments and impressive pipeline opportunities. With the robust pipeline of prospective businesses, including two nearing the end of due diligence, we soon expect to be fully invested. While that is exciting, we appreciate additional capital and referrals to invest in more faith-driven, growth-stage businesses to create new jobs and bring Hope to thousands of God’s people in need.

ANOTHER NEW JOB CREATING INVESTMENT!

Rabboni currently supports over 2,000 corn and soy farmers

plus 26 full time and 63 seasonal workers.

We are pleased to announce a new client and investment, Rabboni Group Ltd. Rabboni was introduced to us by Talanton’s trusted ally Sinapis, an organization that trains and empowers faith-driven entrepreneurs to grow scalable high-impact businesses.

Rabboni is an agricultural processing and trading company in Uganda that integrates smallholder farmers with food manufacturers and ultimately supermarkets in East Africa. This award-winning business democratizes access to transportation, agro-processing, and distribution services in East Africa. Their business design completes the entire delivery cycle connecting agronomy, aggregation and route to market for primarily corn and soy products. Rabboni's goal is to reduce inefficiencies in the value chain while also increasing farmer household incomes. By helping farmers improve their food’s shelf life and enabling reliable transportation, these products can be made available to everyone in the region.

EXCITING PIPELINE OPPORTUNITIES

Our clients and investors recognize Talanton for our thorough due diligence processes. We are committed to adherence to standards and stringent business parameters when evaluating new investment opportunities.

In the last year, Talanton has screened a large pool of prospective businesses and taken a closer look at more than 60 of them. While Covid restrictions impact our rigorous evaluation pace, the additional time is well worth the effort in our quest to achieve a triple bottom line return - financial, spiritual and social.

Talanton’s pipeline includes many attractive investment opportunities. Our current top prospects are:

A redemptive mining and refining business dealing with high performance essential metals and alloys

A mattress and home furnishing manufacturer and retailer serving the rising African market with quality, affordable furniture at scale

A high-quality tile manufacturer, distributor and retailer serving the booming need for better housing in East Africa

We are thankful to have a strong demand-pull from our investment pipeline. Additional investment capital will enable us to accelerate the funding of these exciting pipeline opportunities to create more jobs and help people lift themselves out of poverty. Next month, we'll share solid progress of four other companies in our expanding portfolio.

We hope you and your families are healthy and safe. Please let us know how we can pray for you.

God’s Blessings,

David and the Talanton Team
